About Course
This course teaches the skills needed to program, set up, and operate Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) for CNC machining. Students learn to read blueprints, plan tool paths, and write G-code and M-code programs (manually and using CAM software) to produce precision parts.
Format: Combines classroom instruction with hands-on machine time, working toward the ability to independently set up and run a CNC Milling job from a drawing to a finished part.
Outcome: By the end of the course, learners will be able to confidently write, edit, and prove out Milling programs, set tools and offsets, and produce accurate components that meet drawing specifications.
